Integrative Curriculum

Educators affiliated with UC Infection Prevention Programs have adopted an innovative approach to curriculum development and professional training in infection prevention and healthcare epidemiology.  Specifically, rather than relying on a single training experience, our approach is to integrate key messages and teaching points regarding healthcare-associated infections and infection prevention throughout the training and educational experiences of all UC staff and trainees.  This long-term, integrated approach aims to instill a more meaningful and sustainable awareness and understanding of infection prevention concepts that will be carried forward into clinical practice.
